Maybe a more appropriate title would be "A retreat to the past". This physician is taking a different approach to medicine and, I think, it's a worthy venture. If for nothing else than to aptly show that relationships (ongoing and informed) matter in the doctor-patient experience. While most of the time the quality of care experienced at many doctor's offices borders on a kind of "oil-change mentality", it appears as if Dr. Jay Parkinson is willing to offer more than a cursory checkup and a "see you in 6000 miles" attitude. I particularly appreciate his stated approach to help you find auxiliary services, at a reasonable cost. Might be worth checking out.
Just a thought...how does this idea scale? Can there be more than one Dr. Jay Parkinson?
