How to...Build a Stronger America

The Kauffman Foundation has recently launched a campaign to Build a Stronger America. I've been asked to share with my readers about this important campaign to better unite entrepreneurs--and better inform the lawmakers in Washington--as one voice for the future of America. It's not surprising that I and folks at the Kaufmann Foundation are firm believers in the creativity and innovation residing in entrepreneurially-minded people and organizations.
Until now, there wasn't a central place for entrepreneurs to virtually congregate and collaborate on the messages that lawmakers need to hear about policy issues related to entrepreneurs and their businesses.
If you, too, are interested in joining this movement, I invite you to share your entrepreneurial story through a 60-second video that can be uploaded at: http://www.buildastrongeramerica.com/share

I am big on sustainability; after all, our average ecological footprint is the highest in the world, which means that as Americans we use more resources and produce more waste than anyone else. On one hand I don’t believe that creating new “unneeded” products and services for the purpose of personal material gain or to ensure our country’s economic supremacy is necessarily a good thing, but on the other hand I believe that entrepreneurship is the only way to solve some of the current ecological challenges that we as a humanity are currently facing. So if you ask me, a stronger America=a sustainable America.

This speech was very inspirational and motivating for me. As an aspiring entrepreneur I think it is very important to continually develop support, which many entrepreneurs lack. This office of innovation and entrepreneurship will provide extraordinary benefits to aspiring entrepreneurs like myself. The overall support from government support is extremely important. We are the backbone of America, and it is vital that America recognizes and provides proper support. A motivating and powerful speech by the Secretary of Commerce. Looking forward to see what what the office of innovation and creation has in-store for America.

Entrepreneurs - reinforce your efforts in "Building a Stronger America" by asserting the power of using your collective voice in the appeal for stimulus funding in Washington and private funding from commercial sources. Represent the needs of your state in America by listing your small business at www.startupsacrossamerica.com. Stand up and be counted, the listing is free and will give you a power base that must be reckoned with and taken serious in our collective pursuit of leveling the playing field for allocated funds.
